You don’t need to renovate your home to improve its energy. Most Feng Shui “cures” are small adjustments — a mirror moved here, a plant added there — that redirect the flow of qi (life energy) so it nourishes you instead of draining you. Here are 12 cures anyone can apply this weekend.
1. Clear the front door
The front door is the “mouth of qi.” Shoes, clutter, and dead plants here block opportunity from entering. Clean it, oil the hinges, and add a healthy plant or a welcoming light.
2. Activate the wealth corner
Stand at your front door looking inside. The far left corner of your home is the wealth (Xun) sector. Place something purple, a money plant, a citrine cluster, or a Pixiu there.

3. Fix dripping faucets and slow drains
Water = wealth in Feng Shui. Leaks literally mean money “leaking out.” Fixing this is one of the highest ROI cures you can do.
4. Don’t let the bed face the door
The “coffin position” (feet pointing directly out the door) creates restless sleep. Move the bed so you can see the door from the side, not in line with it.
5. Add living plants — but not in the bedroom
Living plants like money tree, jade plant, and pothos lift wood-element energy. Avoid putting many of them in the bedroom; they create “too much yang” for sleep.
6. Mirrors: powerful, but be careful
Mirrors double whatever they reflect. Place one to reflect a beautiful view or a dining table (doubling abundance) — but never opposite the front door (it bounces qi back out) or facing your bed (disturbs sleep).
7. Hang a Bagua mirror outside, not inside
Bagua mirrors are defensive. They go above the outside of your front door if you face a sharp corner, a busy road, or a hospital. Never inside.

8. Activate the love corner
From the front door, the far right corner is the relationship sector. Place pairs there — two rose quartz hearts, two candles, a photo of you and your partner. Avoid single objects.
9. Use the money frog (Chan Chu)
A three-legged toad with a coin in its mouth, placed inside the entrance facing inward (never outward), draws wealth into the home.
10. Salt cleansing
Place a small bowl of sea salt in each corner of a stuck-feeling room. Leave for 24–48 hours, then flush. Repeat monthly.
11. Open the windows daily
Stagnant air = stagnant qi. Even 10 minutes of cross-ventilation a day refreshes a home’s energy more than any crystal grid ever will.
12. Declutter, declutter, declutter
The single most powerful Feng Shui cure ever invented is throwing things away. Qi cannot flow through clutter. If you do nothing else from this list, do this.
Where to start
Pick one. Don’t try all 12 in a weekend. Most people feel a real shift from just cleaning the front door and activating the wealth corner in week one. Energy responds to attention, not perfection.
