If you work from home, your desk is your temple. It’s also, Feng Shui-wise, one of the most energetically active spots in your life — because that’s where your money is made. Here are 10 small adjustments that together make a huge difference.
1. The “command position”
Sit so you can see the door without being directly in line with it. You want diagonal line-of-sight. This is the #1 rule — it says “I’m in charge” to your subconscious.
2. Solid wall behind you
A wall behind your back = symbolic support (bosses, clients, universe “has your back”). A window or open space behind you = vulnerability and leaks. If you can’t move, hang a mountain painting or place a tall plant behind your chair.
3. Don’t face a wall head-on
Noses-to-wall desks kill creativity. If you must, put a framed inspiring image at eye level — the image becomes your “view.”

4. Activate the wealth corner
The far left corner of your desk (as you sit at it) is the wealth sector. Place a citrine cluster, small Pixiu, or a healthy plant there. Keep this corner tidy at all costs.
5. Clean fame / reputation zone
The center-back of your desk is the fame zone. Keep your monitor here (not files / clutter). A small fire-element item (red candle, small lamp) amplifies visibility.
6. Career zone: keep the front clear
The front-center of the desk (closest to you) is the career sector. It should be the most open area — no clutter blocking your path forward.
7. Keep a crystal for focus
- Fluorite: study / analytical work
- Tiger’s eye: decisions and confidence
- Amethyst: calm during stressful sprints
- Clear quartz: amplifies whatever intention you set in the morning

8. Deal with the cables
Tangled cables are a classic Feng Shui “stuck energy” marker. Zip-tie, label, route them behind the desk. Your focus will immediately improve — it’s been studied.
9. Orgonite or black tourmaline by the router
If your Wi-Fi router sits on or near your desk, place a piece of orgonite or raw black tourmaline next to it. Whether you believe in EMF energetics or not, it adds a physical marker of “this space is mine.”
10. End-of-day reset ritual
- Close all tabs and apps not needed for tomorrow.
- Wipe the desk surface with a damp cloth (physical = energetic).
- Return the Pixiu / crystal face-down or to a small tray overnight.
- Say out loud: “Today’s work is complete.” This tells your nervous system to shut down.
A desk is a mirror
Show me a person’s desk and I can tell you how their career is going. Clutter = clutter in the career. Open space = open space in opportunity. Pick one tweak this week and build from there.
